The body of Bengali actress Bidisha De Majumdar was found dead in her Kolkata apartment. The 21-year-old actress has been living in a rented apartment for the past four months with her parents.
According to media reports, police entered the 21-year-old’s apartment in the Nagerbajar area of Kolkata by breaking down the front door and found her hanging from the ceiling fan. Later, they recovered a suicide note from the house of the deceased actress, in which the name of the person responsible for her death was not mentioned.
Bengali actress Bidisha De Majumdar was a popular model before she made her acting debut with a short film titled ‘Bhar – The Clown‘ in 2021. The film was directed by Anirbed Chattopadhyay and also starred actor Debraj Mukherjee in a key role. The news of her death has shocked her fans.
The police sent the body for autopsy and, according to the initial investigation, they suspect that it could be a case of suicide. Continuing the investigation, the police are now speaking with the family and close friends of the late actress to gather more information.
Actor Suman Dey expressed his shock over the incident and talked about how it’s time to prioritize mental health. “This is shocking and truly sad news. The time has come for us to prioritize mental health, to talk about the issues that affect us. I have seen a lot in my life, I have fought in my career.
