New York-based Rapper Lil Tjay was one of two men injured in a shooting in New Jersey, Rapper Lil Tjay, 21, has had to undergo emergency surgery after being shot.
Tjay was shot shortly after midnight in Edgewater, New Jersey, in an area that borders the Hudson River and is direct across from Harlem. The events occurred in two nearby scenes, one at a Chipotle restaurant and the other at a nearby Exxon gas station since the attackers were robbers who opened fire on several occasions.
A statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office indicates that three people have been arrested for these events, including Mohamed Konate, who according to investigations tried to commit an armed robbery against Lil Tjay and two other men who were with him.
According to police, Konate shot Tjay several times and one of the rapper’s friends was shot again. The young musician came out of surgery alive and although his prognosis is serious and he is not out of danger, he is expected to survive this incident.
AS per reports, it was a robbery case and arrests have been made. Mohamed Konate, who first tried to rob TJay and his friends, was arrested by the detective on the same day. He has been charged with three counts of attempted murder in the first degree, three counts of armed robbery in the first degree, unlawful possession of a weapon in the second degree and unlawful possession of a weapon in the second degree.
