Who is Stephen Bear, found guilty in revenge film trial

Stephen Bear was convicted of sharing a sex tape with a reality TV star that later appeared on the online subscription site OnlyFans.

The 32-year-old reality star had been accused of secretly filming herself having sex with Georgia, 27, before sharing videos and photos on the subscription site OnlyFans. Stephen and Georgia were recorded having sex on CCTV cameras in his garden in Loughton, Essex, on August 2, 2020, Chelmsford Crown Court heard.

The former Big Brother star appeared in court last week, where he was accused of sharing a CCTV video of him, Harrison, his ex-partner, having sex on his OnlyFans account without his permission.

Love Island star Harrison, who waived his right to anonymity, told Chelmsford Crown Court that he had never consented to be recorded having consensual sex with Bear and had not given permission for it to be shared online.

The reality star, who has appeared on shows including Ex On The Beach, was found guilty by a majority verdict of 10 jurors to two of voyeurism. Wearing a black suit and tie, Bear stared ahead as the foreman of the jury returned the verdicts after more than eight and a half hours of deliberation.

In a statement following today's verdict reading, Harrison said: "We live in a time where so much of our lives and those of our children are spent online and it is very important that people are protected in the online world." “Social networks have given us the equal belief that we are all publishers, but what they have not done is regulate what we should publish responsibly.

"I hope that taking a stand gives other people of all genders who have been victims of revenge pgraphy the courage to seek justice and, most importantly, show them that they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

Who is Stephen Bear?

Stephen Bear was born in 1990 and grew up in Walthamstow, North East London. He worked as a roofer before becoming a reality star. In 2016, Bear saw his fame rise when he won Celebrity Big Brother in 2016. He has a net worth of around £1 million.

Stephen first got his taste of fame when he appeared in Shipwrecked: The Island in 2011. He then disappeared for a few years, before returning to the small screen for Ex on the Beach in 2015. Since then, he has been on Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Ghost Hunt Live. In 2017, he joined his then-girlfriend Charlotte Crosby on the MTV show Just Tattoo Of Us.
