Ground Report | New Delhi: Who is Sadhvi Vibhanand; The National Commission for Women (NCW) has issued a notice to Hindu leader Sadhvi Vibhanand Giri, demanding an explanation for allegedly making common remarks against Muslim women.
In the viral video on social media, Sadhvi Vibhanand is heard exhorting Hindu men to “rape and impregnate Muslim women if Muslim men cast even a glance at Hindu girls”.
She threatened that "If any Muslim man laid their eyes on a Hindu girl from today onwards, their women will give birth to Hindu children, without a nikah or pheras"
She tells the Hindu men to create fear even in their own homes, among their own women and the parents of the women they suspect to be in a relationship with a Muslim man. She tells Hindu “boys and sons” to keep track of the women to ensure that they do not fall for Muslim men, saying, “If a Hindu girl runs away with Muslim youth, go after her, bring her back. Beat her up and her parents.”
The video of Sadhvi Vibhanand Giri that has surfaced on Twitter is from 'Dharma Sansad' held in Raipur on December 26, at the same event where Maharaj Kalicharan made objectionable remarks against Mahatma Gandhi, after which he was arrested.
In December 2021, the program of Dharma Sansad was organized in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. In this program, religious leaders made many controversial statements. In the program, Sadhvi Vibhanand Giri gave a controversial statement against Muslim women.
On this, the National Commission for Women has now filed an objection and sought an answer. In the program, Sadhvi Vibhanand Giri had said that the purpose of Dharma Sansad is to end love jihad.
