Ground Report | New Delhi: Who is Aditi Singh; On Wednesday, rebel UP Congress leader Aditi Singh - MLA from the state's Rae Bareli Sadar assembly constituency - joined the ruling BJP at the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Lucknow.

Giving a membership to these two, BJP's state president Swatantra Dev Singh said, "From Azamgarh, if someone fights against Akhilesh's dimple, then someone will fight Sonia and Priyanka. Both the MLAs are hardworking and popular.

Joins BJP

Aditi Singh had been angry with the state leadership of the Congress party for a long time and had also stopped attending the party's public programs.

After joining BJP, Aditi Singh said, "Today is a big day for me. I had some displeasure with the Congress, which I said openly. I have also spoken against the policies of the party in the press. Rai's Sadar Vidhan Sabha Bareilly It will be a setback for the Congress from the seat. I will contest from the Sadar assembly seat itself. My father Akhilesh Singh has been an MLA from there for five times, so I will fight from there."

On November 17, four MLCs of the Samajwadi Party left the SP and joined the BJP. These include MLC Ravi Shankar Singh alias Pappu from Ballia, CP Chand MLC from Gorakhpur, Ram Niranjan, MLC from Jalaun and MLC Narendra Bhati from Western Uttar Pradesh.

Just last week, Singh attacked Congress general secretary in charge of UP - Priyanka Gandhi Vadra - over the latter's reaction to the central government's decision to repeal three agricultural laws.

"Priyanka Gandhi had a problem when the bills were brought. She has a problem when the laws have been repealed. What does she want? She should say it clearly. She is only politicizing the matter. She has now ended the issues for politicization," Aditi Singh was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Who is Aditi Singh?

• Aditi Singh was born on 15 November 1987

• Aditi Singh is a Congress MLA from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh.

• She is the youngest member of the 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh.

• Aditi Singh has become MLA for the first time from Rae Bareli. She won the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly election on a Congress ticket by a margin of over 90,000 votes, when the BJP won the state elections.

• She is daughter of Congress veteran Akhilesh Singh, who has been a five-time MLA from this seat.

• She did his schooling from Mussoorie International School and obtained a degree in Management from Duke University in the United States.
