Who is Obed Afridi exploiting young girls for casting in films?

Ground Report | New Delhi: Urfi Javed, who rose to fame with Bigg Boss OTT, has accused casting director Obed Afridi of asking young people like her for sexual favours. The actress has shared several screenshots on her Instagram stories where she says that Afridi has made inappropriate statements and made indecent moves. Obed Afridi, who resides in the West Sant Nagar area of New Delhi.

Many other actors and models, like Priyank Sharma, spoke out for Urfi and shared her personal stories with Afridi. This individual was reportedly previously arrested for using a false identity to defraud women.

In the chat, he can be seen telling Urfi that getting engaged is normal in the music video industry, to which the actress replies that it's not the norm and asks him not to generalize the industry.

In another screenshot, Afridi can be seen mocking Urfi that no one will trust her. "You are a kid. Grow up with your mind," he wrote.

In one of the screenshots of Urfi’s conversation with Obed, the actress wrote:

“I will make sure you don’t repeat this with anyone ever. I will name and shame you.”

In response to Urfi’s direct message, the casting director said: “Sure, done. I don’t care. Lol.”

Priyank Sharma took to his Instagram Story and revealed that the casting director had asked for sexual favours from a close friend of his in 2020: “You are nothing but a shame to the world of casting directors and this industry.

“Not just once but I don’t know how many ladies and girls you will try slut-shaming and offering them work in exchange for sex.

“Ladies, beware of this guy. “I tried explaining to him two years back when somebody close to me experienced the same thing but he was completely unapologetic for this. “You think you can try to mess with my people again and I will spare you? You piece of s***!”

Urfi thanked Priyank for sharing his story on social media and for supporting her. Urfi also shared a screenshot of a report on Obed Afridi from 2019 when he was arrested for exploiting aspiring female models.
