Who is Mugdha Kalra

She has co-founded Not That Different, a child-led movement that focuses on engaging and understanding "neurodiversity" along with learning to raise her non-conformist son across the autism spectrum. As the BBC reports, she is behind a unique comic strip aimed at helping all children with autism better understand and be allies to their neurodiverse friends.

On her website, Mugdha says that she specializes in content curation, feature writing, fiction and screenplay writing, reporting, and news presenting. She says: “I am a special needs mom and to me, my baby is the best baby ever. And as long as I love and accept her and enable her to be the best I can be, I can't promise her a world that does the same. For me 'Not That Different' is the movement your child will lead to creating a better, compassionate and inclusive world for my child. We all need to understand that neurodiversity is not a barrier, but just a reflection that people have different brains in different ways."

“The pandemic has left seven billion people bound to each other through a common reality, alone in their own world, but through similar suffering. I want this shared experience to inspire more empathy for our fellow human beings,” she was quoted as saying by the public service broadcaster.
