Who is Divita Rai, India's representative at Miss Universe 2023?

Divita Rai, a 25-year-old model from Karnataka, represents India at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. Rai was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022 last year by outgoing titleholder Harnaaz Sandhu.

The model was born in Mangalore, but due to her father's transferable employment, she has lived in many regions of the country. A model and architect by profession, she completed her education at the Bangalore National Public School before enrolling at the Sir JJ College of Architecture in Mumbai.

A native of Karnataka, Divita was crowned Miss Universe India on August 28, 2022, in Mumbai by Harnaaz Sandhu, outgoing Miss Universe India and Miss Universe 2021. Divita will now compete in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant as India's representative, which will be held on January 14, 2023.

Rai studied at a public school in Bangalore and later attended a university in Mumbai to study architecture. Her goal is to make education accessible to all.

Who Is Divita Rai?

Divita Rai is a 25-year-old model and beauty pageant winner who originally hails from Mangalore but got the chance to live in different parts of India due to her father's transferable job. Before enrolling at the JJ College of Architecture in Mumbai, Rai completed her studies at the National Public School, Banglore.

She loves to paint, play basketball and listen to music during her recess hours. By profession, Divita is an architect and a prominent model who placed among the top three finalists from Karnataka vying to qualify for Femina Miss India in 2019.

Rai participated in Miss Diva 2021 and came in second behind Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu. She also won the Miss IQ, Miss Lifestyle, and Miss Sudoku titles during the competition.

Divita's performance in various beauty pageants is commendable. After 2019, Rai competed in Miss Diva 2021 and was awarded the title of Miss Universe 2021 second runner-up Harnaaz Sandhu. During the beauty contest, the diva also won the title of Miss IQ, Miss Sudoku and Miss Lifestyle.
