Why Rupani removed before polls
Rupani’s resignation did not come suddenly, fifteen months before the assembly elections. Sources said the BJP was considering changing the guard ahead of the elections in Gujarat, especially in view of the criticism of Rupani’s government with regard to the COVID-19 management.
The party’s Gujarat in-charge Bhupendra Yadav and general secretary BL Santosh were conducting review meetings regarding Gujarat for a long time.
