Ground Report | New Delhi: Alok Shakya SP candidate; Alok Shakya is a member of the Samajwadi party and also represented the Bhongaon constituency and has been MLA for three terms. Since Independence, he is the only leader who holds a record of consecutive three times MLA from Bhongaon constituency. Bhongaon Assembly constituency is falling under the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency.
In the 2012 U. P General Elections Alok Kumar Shakya Won the Bhongaon Seat By the Margin of over 50,000 votes from his Competitor Sakshi Maharaj Prominent and Strong leader of Bharatiya Janta Party. During his third tenure as MLA, he holds the position of State Minister of Technical Education in the Uttar Pradesh Government. The feud in Yadav Parivaar caused the division of votes in his constituency and because he lost his seat in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election to Bhartiya Janata party's leader Ram Naresh Agnihotri. Ram Naresh Agnihotri won with a margin of 20297 votes.
Polling in UP will be held in total 7 phases, Phase 1 will be on Thursday 10th February.
Phase 1 will include 58 assembly constituencies from eleven districts between 7am and 6 pm. The polling in Bhongaon will be held in phase 3. Phase 3 will be on Sunday 20th February for 59 assembly constituencies
The wait is almost over as the first phase of voting in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 is scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 10. The campaigning for the first phase of UP assembly elections 2022 ended on Tuesday, February 8 at 6 pm.
