Ground Report | New Delhi: What's new in Microsoft's Windows 11?. Microsoft's new operating system Windows 11 has been leaked on the Internet ahead of its release. Microsoft has said in the past that Windows 10 will be the latest version of its operating system. The operating system support for Windows 10 will end in 2025. 

Satya Nadella, CEO of the company, says that Windows updates in the last decade will be unveiled on June 24. The event will be streamed on the Internet and you can watch it on the Microsoft channel on YouTube.

New version of Windows

It is too early to say when the new version of Windows will be available in the market. But Microsoft is expected to launch it in the second half of this year. Usually, new software or operating system is released in a limited way. Before it is widely released in the market. So that experts can point out the flaws in it and fix them before they reach the general user.  Visual changes to Windows have been codenamed Sun Valley. It is not clear if the visual changes will be released with the new operating system or separately.

Screenshots of the new version were first released on the Chinese website Baidu. But it seems that some users from around the world have gained access to the operating system.

What's new in Microsoft's Windows 11

Screenshots indicate that a major change will be seen in the Windows Start menu, which will now be placed in the center of the screen like a Mac, which the user can move to the left if desired. Overall new windows appear in dark mode. Similarly, the window logo on the left giving access to programs and other icons has been redesigned.

Another important change is that a new icon widget will appear in the Windows taskbar and is expected to pin news, weather and other user-friendly content on the desktop. Remember that Apple's iOS 14 home screen widgets were introduced in September 2020 and it seems that Microsoft has taken the idea from here.
