Ground Report | New Delhi: What President Ramnath Kovind says about his salary?; President Ram Nath Kovind stated at an event that a teacher or an official saves more money than he does. As part of his visit to his hometown, the President spoke to a crowd at Kanpur's Jhinjhak railway station on Friday. President Ram Nath Kovind was asking people to pay taxes when he revealed how much he makes as a monthly wage and how much he pays in taxes, which totals more than half of his monthly paycheck.

President Ram Nath Kovind made these statements during a stopover in Jhinjhak on Friday while travelling by special train from Delhi to Kanpur. Jhinjhak is located near the President's birthplace, Paraunkh hamlet in the Kanpur Dehat region of Uttar Pradesh. The President urged citizens to pay taxes as a duty to the country during a celebration held at the Jhinjhak train station.

While addressing the crowd President said, "If a train does not stop at a specific railway station, we may stop it forcibly or even burn it on fire in a fit of rage."Who is the loser if a train is set on fire? It is claimed to be government property. It's the money of the taxpayers. I bring this up because everyone knows...there is nothing wrong...the President is the highest-paid employee in the country, but he also pays taxes. Each month, I pay a tax of Rs 2.75 lakh."Everyone claims I get Rs 5 lakh a month, but it is taxed too" Mr. Kovind remarked. (What President Ramnath Kovind says about his salary)
