Ground Report | New Delhi: What is in Manish Tiwari's book; Senior Congress leader and member of Parliament Manish Tewari, criticized the Manmohan Singh government for being soft after the 11/26 terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
What is in Manish Tiwari's book
In his book '10 Flash Points; 20 Years: National Security Situations Affecting India ”, he has criticized India's lukewarm response to Pakistan's cruelty. Tewari served as Union Minister (independent position) I & B at UPA-2 from 2012 to 2014. His fourth book delves into all the major national security challenges that India has faced in the past two decades.

"For a state (Pakistan) that has no qualms about brutally massacring hundreds of innocent people, restraint is not a sign of strength; it is seen as a symbol of weakness. The 11/26 attack was a series of terrorist attacks that took place on November 26, 2008 in Mumbai. Ten Pakistan-based LeT terrorists had carried out 12 coordinated shootings and bombings in Mumbai, killing more than 150 and injuring several. While the security forces killed nine terrorists, the police detained Ajmal Kasab alive, he was hanged in 2012.
BJP attacks Congress
The Bharatiya Janata Party has now beaten Congress, speaking at a press conference, Gaurav Bhatia questioned the congressional government about the revelations made by the former minister. Bhatia said that the statements made by Manish Tewari were "confessions" of the failure of the Cong government. “What Manish Tiwari ji said in his book, which we have all seen in the media. It would not be wrong to say that the facts that have come out, it would be appropriate to call it a confession of the failure of Congress, "he said.
