A Twitter user shared a screenshot of the message and wrote: "Can you see the problem here?" His tweet exploded with nearly 5,000 likes and hundreds of comments.
Netizens have taken to social media to slam Flipkart for its sexist promotion of kitchen appliances on Women's Day.

Twitter user wrote "It's offensive Why women are being identified with kitchen appliance..only ?? Whole world is ours & certainly kitchen is not our whole world!! No thanks!!"
Twitter user Papiya Bose wrote "Finding offence in everything can be a profession in this century. I work in an industry perhaps one of most male dominated one. I don’t find any problem with this ad & I don’t mind gifting to my mother or one of my friend as they love cooking."
Flipkart tweeted an apology. “We made a mistake and we’re sorry,” the e-commerce company wrote on Twitter. It said, “We did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments and apologize for the Women’s Day message.”
