The Trinamool Congress won a majority by winning 213 seats out of 292 seats, while the BJP has emerged as the second largest party in the state. BJP has won 77 seats.

Earlier West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while taunting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said on Monday that this is the first time that a Prime Minister has not called to congratulate the victory. Maybe they were busy.

In the first press conference at Kalighat's residence here after the election results, she quoted a mobile message claiming that the returning officer of Nandigram did not direct the counting of votes for fear of death. But the TMC chief did not say to whom the returning officer had expressed this apprehension.

She also reiterated the allegation of BJP changing EVMs and going to court on this issue.

Mamata said that he had been declared victorious in Nandigram earlier and the Governor had also congratulated his on the victory.

She alleged that after the results, BJP is attacking TMC supporters in frustration. He also accused many police officers including the SP of Cooch Behar during the election to work in favor of the BJP.

The TMC chief has appealed to the people to take precautions to restore peace and avoid infection.

She said that after the situation in Corona became normal, the party would organize a victory rally at the Brigade Parade ground. In this, all the leaders of the country will be invited.

Referring to the sweep of Congress and CPM in the election, she said that she does not want any party to be cleared in this way.

She told that during the meeting at the Trinamool Congress headquarters, a decision will be taken about the form and swearing in of the future cabinet.

Mamata told that she will meet the Governor at seven o'clock this evening. The formation of the government is likely to be discussed during that meeting.

During this time, the Chief Minister also gave Corona Warrior status to the journalists of the state.
