The Center has also decided to send a team of 6 members under the leadership of the Director of the National Center for Disease Control there. On Wednesday, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in this regard, "In view of the increase in the cases of corona infection still in Kerala, this team will help the state government in managing the epidemic."

Weekend Lockdown in Kerala

In Kerala, there was a lot of controversy in the past about the decision of the state government to relax the lockdown on the occasion of Bakrid and the Supreme Court also took suo motu cognizance of it and made strong remarks.

After this, a complete lockdown was imposed in Kerala on 24 and 25 July last week. Now there will be complete lockdown in the state on 31st July and 1st August also. In the data released on Wednesday in Kerala, more than 22,000 new cases and 131 deaths were reported within 24 hours. The state government said that so far 33.27 lakh people have been infected with Covid in the state, while about 16 and a half thousand people have died.

In India 43,509 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in a day and 640 people have died. 38,465 people have been cured of corona in a day and the recovery rate in the country remains at 97.38 percent. With this, the number of corona cases in the country has increased to more than three crore 15 lakhs. At the same time, the death toll from Corona has reached 4,22,662. Talking about vaccination, 43,92,697 people have been given the vaccine in a day and so far more than 450 million people have been given the vaccine.

Antibodies formed in 70% of population in eight states

In a serosurvey conducted in India, antibodies have been found in 70 percent of the population of eight major states of the country. The details of the presence of antibodies in the population of different states have been given in the fourth round serosurvey of the Indian Council of Medical Research. This survey has been done on about 29 thousand people between June and July this year, which shows that one-third of India's population has antibodies against the Covid-19.

According to the survey, antibodies have been found in 79 percent of the population of about 70 million in Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, corona antibodies have been found in 75 percent of the population in Bihar and 71 percent of the population of Uttar Pradesh.

The antibody has been found in 76.2 percent in Rajasthan, 75.3 percent in Gujarat, 74.6 percent in Chhattisgarh, 70.2 in Andhra Pradesh, 58 percent in Maharashtra, and 50.3 percent in Assam. Antibodies have been found in Kerala in the lowest 44.4 percent of the population. However, at present, half of the total cases of corona coming out in India are coming from Kerala alone.

Daily cases of Covid-19 increase in 22 districts

The Union Health Ministry says that there has been an increase in daily cases of corona in 22 districts of seven states of the country, which is worrying. Of these, seven districts are in Kerala, two in Maharashtra, and the rest in the northeastern states.

Addressing the press conference, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, Luv Aggarwal said, 'There are 22 such districts in the country where corona cases are increasing. In the last four weeks, these districts have seen an increase in corona cases. This increase is worrying, which we are continuing to discuss with the states.

According to the Indian Express report, the daily cases of corona are increasing in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Malappuram, Thrissur, Wayanad, Ernakulam, and Pathanamthitta districts of Kerala.

At the same time, a similar increase was seen in Chandel, Churachandpur, Imphal East, Noni, and Thombal in Manipur. Similarly, daily cases of corona are increasing in West Garo Hills, South-West Khasi Hills, and South-West Garo Hills of Meghalaya along with Papum Pare, Lohit, West Siang, Nalbari of Assam, and West Tripura of Tripura along with South-West Garo Hills.

Aggarwal said that in terms of corona positivity rate, the positivity rate of corona in 54 districts was more than 10 percent in the week ended July 26, while the number was 46 in the week ending July 20, which shows that these areas In Corona still remains active.

Aggarwal said that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs had issued clear guidelines with instructions for restrictions in places where the positivity rate of Covid is increasing.
