Entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath unveils first cohort of WTFund

WTFund, India’s first non-equity grant fund launched by entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath, has distributed grants to 15 startups. Let's look at the sustainable health businesses that are awared funds:

Startups that have received WTFund grants include Biocompute, an affordable DNA data storage chip revolutionising data centre efficiency.

Urban Animal, India’s first dog DNA testing service, redefining pet care.

The grantees include Pamawel, a plant-based, non-steroidal, FDA-approved pain relief formulation targeting menstrual pain.

Another one is Oh! Nuts, a premium, healthy nut-based snack tailored for the growing healthy snack substitute market.

The fund receivers also include a diverse range from early detection of gastrointestinal cancer to sustainable pet food.

WTFund offers up to Rs 20 lakh in non-equity grants, allowing founders to retain full ownership of their ventures. In addition to financial support, grantees gain access to mentorship from industry leaders, legal and accounting assistance, and strategic partnerships with top companies.
