Watch: China releases alleged video of Galwan Valley clash

China on Friday released video footage of the clash between the Indian Army and the Chinese Army in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh in June last year, where 20 Indian Army soldiers were killed in the clashes.

In the video released by China, there is a scene of giving salute to these four soldiers. In this video, a clash between soldiers of India and China is also shown. In the video, military officials from both sides are also seen talking.

The video released by China pointed to India, stating, "Since April, the foreign forces concerned had been violating the old agreements. They crossed the border to build bridges and roads and quickly reconnaissance Campaign."

The video said, "Foreign forces made unilateral efforts to change the status quo, resulting in increased tension on the border." In the video released on behalf of India and China soldiers are shown confronting each other in the dark of night, in which Chinese soldiers are shown handling an injured Chinese soldier. The video released also shows the Chinese army saluting the slain soldiers.

Earlier, the Global Times reported that China has admitted for the first time that in June last year, five of it's soldiers were killed in a clash in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh.

China’s official newspaper Global Times quoted the PLA Daily, the official newspaper of the Chinese military, as saying that for the first time, China has ‘given names and details of them to pay tribute to the sacrificed soldiers in defense of their sovereignty’ .

For the first time in the report, the Chinese army has given a detailed account of the Galwan conflict and described how 'the Indian army sent a large number of soldiers there who were hiding and forcing the Chinese army to retreat'.
