When Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in the Lok Sabha on February 1, it showed a glimpse of the upcoming assembly elections.

Assembly elections are going to be held in West Bengal in the coming months and there is a good population of tea workers in West Bengal, especially North Bengal. Apart from this, tea workers are also in large numbers in Assam.

The newspaper writes that the BJP would like to remain in Assam even in the coming elections and try to form its government in West Bengal.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the general budget, has made a provision to set up a management company to solve the problem of NPAs associated with public sector banks.

It has been decided to create a bad bank in the budget so that the banks can be saved from the crisis. Bad Bank is an asset management company in which NPAs of banks are transferred. Bad Bank takes NPAs from banks at a discount and tries to recover it.
