Power cut for five hours in Chhindwara today: List of areas affected

Chhindwara will see power cuts today due to maintenance on Pratham Vihar (7 am–12 noon) and Linga feeders (9 am–1 pm), affecting areas like Guraiya Road, Jain Mandir, Rani Kothi, and more. Timings may vary based on work progress.

Chhindwara will face power cuts today due to pre-monsoon maintenance work by the Madhya Pradesh East Zone Electricity Distribution Company (City Division). The power supply will be disrupted in two major feeders—Pratham Vihar and Linga—while maintenance is carried out on the 33/11 KV, LT line and other electrical equipment.

Pratham vihar feeder:
The power will remain off from 7 am to 12 noon in the following areas:

  • Dr. Mahajan

  • Jain Mandir

  • Shriram Colony

  • Panchsheel Colony

  • Bharat Mangal Bhawan

  • TIT

  • Guraiya Road

  • South Civil Line

  • Deore Colony

This feeder includes 46 transformers and spans a 6.14 km line. The power company has stated that the outage duration may vary depending on the progress of the maintenance work.

Linga feeder:
The electricity supply will be disrupted from 9 am to 1 pm in the following areas:

  • Shraddha Nagar

  • Ambedkar Nagar

  • Rani Kothi

  • Raj Nagar

  • Pragyapuram

  • Sanchar Colony

  • Guraiya Road

  • Vardhman City

  • Pathadhana

  • Sabzi Mandi

  • DLS Homes

  • Hathigota Chandangaon

Residents in these areas are advised to plan accordingly.
