Train services in Chhattisgarh will remain disrupted between April 23 and May 6, 2025. The disruptions are due to major construction work on the railway line.
At least 50 trains passing through the state will not run during this period. Passengers traveling to Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and southern states will face trouble.
Railways have also diverted the routes of 6 trains. They have shortened the routes of 28 others. These changes will directly affect long-distance travelers.
The railways are building a third line between Rajnandgaon and Kalamna. The new line covers 228 kilometers and costs Rs 3,540 crore. This stretch is key for better connectivity to South-East India.
Trains will stay cancelled on the dates mentioned below.

South East Central Railway said the goal is to improve train timings, increase train capacity, and upgrade passenger services. During the work, several train services will stay suspended.
Work is also happening at Gondia railway station. Railways are installing a third line and doing electrification. This work falls under the Nagpur division of the Rajnandgaon-Kalamna section.
The railway administration said it will finish the project as early as possible. It asked passengers to check updated train schedules before they travel.
