A video of a school going tribal girl being beaten by a young boy in Pakur, Jharkhand has gone viral on social media. A boy can be seen in the video beating up a girl while taking her to a deserted field.
The girl, seen in uniform, is believed to be a tribal student at a school in the Pakur district. The accused boy is seen raining down kicks on the girl carrying a school bag while another unidentified person recorded the incident.
According to the reports of Dainik Bhaskar, the girl is studying at a school in the Hathimara area of the Pakur District and the boy is a resident of the Maheshpur area of Pakur. The boy simply beats her because the girl is in love with a non-tribal boy. In the viral video, he is giving a message in his area that the same will happen to those who love non-tribal boys.
The police registered a case and opened an investigation. At present, the local police refrain from saying anything about it.
Pakur SP Hrideep P Janardhan said that an investigation has been ordered over the social media video. The police station responsible for the police station concerned was instructed to investigate and file a report. As soon as the truth is revealed, action will be taken against the guilty boy.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren directed police to identify the accused take appropriate action. “Pakur police should investigate and take appropriate action,” said Soren in his tweet in Hindi.
