An 18-year-old nurse was allegedly raped and killed on the first day of work at a private hospital in the Bangarmau district of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh. Bangarmau Police Officer Gajannath Shukla said the woman's family had filed a complaint with the police. The victim's body was sent for forensic examination.

He said: "We are investigating this issue. Four people, including the owner of the hospital, have been named the mother of the deceased in the RIP," the Hindustan Times reported.

At around 11 am on Saturday, some people found the victim's body hanging on a rope to the outer wall of the hospital. The rope was tied to an iron rod protruding from a pole on the roof of the building.

The police said that the girl started working at the hospital on April 29 and was on a night shift. The hospital was opened a few days ago, on April 25, where the woman got a job as a nurse. The girl rented a room near the hospital.

The body of the victim was found hanging on a rope to the outer wall of the hospital around 11 a.m. on Saturday by some hospital visitors. The rope was tied to an iron rod that protruded from a pillar on the roof of the building.

The deceased was hospitalized on April 29 and was on night duty, police said.

Additional police superintendent Shashi Shekhar Singh said a forensic examination had been ordered.

"A woman's body was found at a New Jivan hospital," Singh was quoted as saying by ANI. "The family claims the woman was raped and then killed."

Police said the deceased went to the hospital on April 29. Her family members claimed that because there were no patients in the hospital during the day, the nurse returned to her room, according to the Hindustan Times.

"At about 10 a.m., she received a phone call from the hospital's owner asking her to take a night shift," the family said.

Station official Gajannath Shukla said the first information report had been filed against four people, including hospital owner Anil Kumar, according to the Hindustan Times. Other names in the FIR are Nur Alam, Chand Alam and another person.
