UPSC Results 2019: Pradeep Singh topped, a total of 829 candidates succeeded

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the result of the Civil Services Examination 2019, a total of 829 participants have been selected for IAS, IFS and IPS, and other public services

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam New Date 2021

On Tuesday, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the result of the Civil Services Examination 2019, a total of 829 participants have been selected for IAS, IFS and IPS, and other public services. 304 participants are from the General category, 251 from OBC, 78 from EWS, 129 from SC and, 78 from ST, category.

Pradeep Singh, resident of Sonepat, Haryana has topped the UPSC exam, Jatin Kishore of Delhi secured second place, and Pratibha Verma of Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh secured third place. Candidates selected on the first three positions were also selected for the All India Service in the 2018 batch.

UPSC 2019 Top three candidates

Pradeep topping in the UPSC exam is the 2018 batch Customs and Central Excise Officer and on Probation at Faridabad National Customs, Indirect Taxes, and Narcotics.

"this dream is like coming true, I did not count the hours of the day and studied every week by deciding the syllabus. I want to work for the underprivileged." Said Pradeep Singh (UPSC AIR 1)

Jatin Kishore was selected to the Indian Economic Service in the 2018 batch and currently holds the post of Assistant Director in the Ministry of Rural Development.

"got the second rank in the second attempt, it is unbelievable if I get a chance, I will do something good in the field of education and environment." Said Jatin.

Pratibha Verma, the topper among women, is an Indian Revenue Service officer selected at the 489 ranks in the 2018 batch.

"in every difficult time, IAS officers are at the forefront of the occasion. I want to work for the empowerment of women and children." Said Pratibha Verma.

PM Modi Congratulates the Candidates

PM Narendra Modi Congratulated the candidates in a tweet; he wrote, "Congratulations to all the bright youngsters who have successfully cleared the Civil Services examination 2019! An exciting and satisfying career in public service awaits you. My best wishes!"

He further added in his tweet, "For those youngsters who did not get the desired result in the Civil Services Examination, 2019, I would like to tell them- life is full of several opportunities. Each and every one of you is hardworking and diligent. Best wishes for all your future endeavours."

The most exciting event that happened in the results of the UPSC exam is that a candidate named Rahul Modi secured the 420th position, which is the highlight of the results.
