Union minister and BJP leader V Muraleedharan has alleged that his convoy was attacked by Trinamool Congress goons.

Minister of State for External Affairs Muraleedharan tweeted a video of it and wrote- TMC goons attacked my convoy in West Midnapore. The glass window of the car broke due to the attack, as well as his personal employees.

Speaking to reporters, Muraleedharan said, “This cannot be the culture of Bengal. Women are being attacked. This is nothing but goondagardi. Even today my vehicle was targeted. I will give a report to the Centre in this regard.”

BJP National President JP Nadda has criticized the attack on the convoy of Union Minister V Muraleedharan.

He said that the law and order situation in the entire West Bengal has collapsed. Since TMC's victory in the assembly elections, there have been reports of violence from many areas of West Bengal.

According to the police, at least 17 people have died in it. BJP has termed TMC responsible for this, while TMC alleges that BJP workers are doing so.

BJP alleges that TMC supporters have started attacking party workers everywhere after the unexpected victory in the elections.

He has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence in the state. The Governor himself has given information about this in one of his tweets.

“The Prime Minister called me and expressed his deep anguish and concern over the dangerously worrying law and order situation in the state. I also express my concern because violence, break- Bursts, arson, loot and murders continue unabated. Steps should be taken to improve the situation in the state.”
