Ground Report | New Delhi: UAE MoU with J&K Former Pakistani diplomat Dr. Abdul Basit has said that the Government of Dubai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Union Territory to promote industrial development in Jammu and Kashmir., is a "major success for India.

Whereas this agreement is a setback to the foreign policy of the neighboring country of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. In fact, the government of Dubai and the Jammu and Kashmir administration have signed an agreement (MoU) on infrastructure on Monday.

Abdul Basit said, "The signing of the MoU is a great success for India, as Dubai belongs to the UAE and the UAE is an Islamic country." Diplomats say that Pakistan has always tried to mobilize support against India using Islamic connections among members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). It is known that Abdul Basit was Pakistan's High Commissioner in New Delhi from 2014 to 2017.

Basit said, "There should be efforts to find a solution. But is it acceptable that everything is one-sided and the land has been handed over to India? Now the situation is that Muslim countries are signing MoUs with India."
