On Thursday, the UAE-Israel announced a 'peace deal' between the two states, which would lead to forming 'diplomatic relations' between the two states. The United Arab Emirates will be the third country to have diplomatic relations with Israel after Egypt and Jordan.

The deal came after a phone call between US President Donald Trump, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

US President Donald Trump's mediation helped the settlement. White House officials said that under the accord, Israel has agreed to suspend the annexing areas of the occupied West Bank.
The UAE-Israel agreement will be called the "Abraham Accord". The reason for this is that Abraham was the father of three great religious beliefs; he is called 'Abraham' in Christianity, 'Ibrahim' in Muslim religion and 'Avraham' in Judaism.
The United States, the State of Israel, and the United Arab Emirates issued a joint statement that reads,
"This historic diplomatic breakthrough will advance peace in the Middle East region and is a testament to the bold diplomacy and vision of the three leaders and the courage of the United Arab Emirates and Israel to chart a new path that will unlock the great potential in the region. All three countries face many common challenges and will mutually benefit from today's historic achievement."
Why is this deal so Historic?
Since the State of Israel was established on 14 May 1948, many Muslim countries have since opposed Israel, saying that they will not recognize Israel as an independent country.
Their reasoning was that Israel was not a historic country, it was the land of Palestinians, and that Jewish forcibly settled here and occupied the surrounding land. Because of this, Israel has suffered for many years and yet so many countries do not recognize Israel as a nation.
163 of 193 members of the United Nations recognize Israel, 31 UN member states do not recognize Israel as a state.
The UAE is the first Arab country to have formal relations with the state of Israel, opening the doors for Israel's expectation of good relations with Arab countries.
World's Reaction to this Relationship
The worldwide response to this peace deal is very mixed. Iran's news agency Tasnim said the UAE-Israel deal is 'shameful.' Iran's clerical leaders have not yet reacted to the agreement.
On the other hand, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi embraced the US broked deal between UAE-Israel. He tweeted, "I followed with great interest and appreciation the tripartite joint statement between the United States of America, the sisterly United Arab Emirates and Israel regarding the agreement to stop Israel's annexation of the Palestinian territories."

He further added, "and taking steps to bring peace to the Middle East, as I value the efforts of those in charge of this agreement in order to achieve prosperity and stability for our region."
Among the reactions of countries around the world, Turkey has the most interesting response. Senior Advisor President of Turkey Ibrahim Kalin said, "History will definitely record defeat of those who betray Palestinian people, their cause."
This is interesting because Turkey already has diplomatic relations with Israel. Israeli-Turkish relationships are the bilateral ties between the State of Israel and the Republic of Turkey. The relationship was formalized in March 1949. Turkey was the first Muslim majority country to recognize the State of Israel.
