Indian U-19 men’s team comfortably defeated the Australian team in the second semi-final of the U-19 world cup being held in West Indies. Indian Team comprehensively defeated the strong Australian team by 96 runs and cruised into their eighth final in the biannual event, making it India’s fourth straight final.

Batting first, the Indian team found itself on the backfoot with two wickets down at the meager score of 37. That’s when the Delhi born-Yash Dull, the captain of the team, leads from the front scoring an incredible hundred (110). Yash Dull innings with his deputy Shaik Rasheed forging a 204-run partnership for the third wicket. The solid partnership sealed India’s chances to the match-winning score of 290.

Rest was left on the bowlers, and they delivered. In the second over of the Australian innings, left-arm pacer Ravi Kumar trapped, in form, Teague Wyllie in an LBW. While the Australian team was recovering from the early blow, Indian spinners took three wickets in quick succession. Eventually, the Australian Team was left 96 runs behind the Indian Target.

Kaif, Virat Kohli, Prithvi Shaw, Shubhman Gill, and many more found a place in the senior team through their splendid performance in the U-19 World Cup. India will face England on 5th February, at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua and Barbuda. India will aim to win its fifth title, and get the trophy back home.
