This time, the Floriculture Department has planted more than 15,000 different types of tulips, to further enhance the beauty of tulip garden as well as to attract tourists.

Asia's largest "tulip garden" will be open to tourists from the 20th of this month. Although tulip garden was not opened last year due to the global pandemic coronavirus. However, all preparations have been finalized to open the garden to tourists and the general public this year.

This time, the Floriculture Department has planted more than 15,000 different types of tulip gardens, to further enhance the beauty of tulip garden as well as to attract tourists.

The director of the floriculture department says, "Even before the opening of tulip garden, his office has started receiving calls from tourists visiting Kashmir from other states of the country and UTs as to when the garden is being opened." ۔

"This suggests that this year will see a significant number of tourists visiting tulip garden, which is a good omen for the tourism sector," he said.

“We are expecting an early opening of the garden this year due to the rise in the temperature,” he said.

He said that the garden is being thrown open in the last week of March every year, but this year may be thrown open early in case the prevalent weather conditions continue.

“If the weather conditions remain good then the garden will be thrown open around March 20,” he said.

It is to be noted that the Floriculture Department is going to make special arrangements for the opening of the garden as well as music events to entertain the tourists.
