A day after INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala stated about welcoming old colleagues, who had joined BJP and the Congress, if they wished, his father and party supremo Om Prakash Chautala said those who left the outfit were traitors and no place in their party.
Former Haryana CM Chautala said this while addressing the party workers’ meeting that there were many who left INLD due to their selfishness and wanted to come back. “It is up to us to decide whom to take back. The party has decided that the traitors will not be allowed to return to our fold,” he said.
Earlier on Saturday, Abhay, who had come to Fatehabad, said those who left the party were old colleagues and if they wanted to rejoin, they would be considered and welcomed.
At the workers’ meeting on Sunday, Chautala senior said the people to whom he had given jobs had got promotions but he was languishing in jail. He said the government had commuted the sentence of Ansal brothers, who were responsible for deaths of many in the Uphaar cinema tragedy of Delhi, by citing their old age, but he was still in jail at the age of 83.
He appealed to the party workers to strengthen INLD.
