Diving Hero caused a stir among Olympic TV audiences watching the women's 3m springboard final on Sunday morning when cameras lined up with spectators and caught Tom watching the action as he weaves.

Social media was flooded with images of the 27-year-old, wearing needles and purple fleece, wearing his Team GB kit and mandatory mask at the Tokyo Aquatics Center. That moment came before the third-round dive when China's Shi Tingmao consolidated his lead as he completed his second dive.

The clips and pictures of Daley went viral on social media and have garnered a lot of love from the people.

In an Instagram story, Daley revealed that in this photo he was knitting a sweater for a dog named 'Izzy'.

On Sunday, the Olympic gold medalist was seen working on a purple knitting project in the stands during the women's three-meter springboard final in Tokyo. On an Instagram page Daly devoted to knitting, he revealed he was working on a small dog sweater—one of many he finished last year.

The slideshow also includes some photos pulled from Daly's account dedicated to her knitting and crochet work called @madewithlovebytomdaley.

The gold medalist replied to the post, saying, "Knitting is my mindfulness, how I find my calm, how I stay focused. I'm impressed!"

Now, Daly has finally explained what he was making out of in those viral photos. She posted a story on her knitting account and wrote: "For those asking what I'm making here… I'm making a dog jumper for @izzythe.frenchie."

Daly followed up with a video showing the dog sweater. "@izzythe.frenchie I finished your sweater," he said. "I don't have a dog to show you what it's going to look like , but this is the dog jumper I was making."

All this love of weaving and carrying it around like a swag has seen netizens falling head over heels for the daily.
