Three Tamil Nadu boys gangraping classmate, shared video with Students

In a shocking incident, three Class 10 students were arrested in Tamil Nadu for the alleged gang rape of a fifteen-year-old girl, who is also their classmate.

The boys had also allegedly shared a video recording of the sexual assault. Another boy said to be in a relationship with the girl has been arrested for harassing her

The police presented the arrested children to the juvenile justice board, which sent them to an observation home. The surviving minor, who underwent a medical examination to determine the charges of rape, was sent to her mother.

The girl, who was depressed, refused to go to school. When confronted about the incident, she said that she went to a friend’s birthday party in May without telling her family.

Police say that the girl had recently gone to the house of a former senior student friend to celebrate her birthday.

One of the alleged perpetrators, a classmate, who had captured a picture of the boy and the girl together, blackmailed her, saying that he would show it to her parents, and asked her to come to his house after school.

When she went there during the lunch break on the first of this month, a total of three boys sexually assaulted her and one even videographed the crime, which was later shared with other students.

After that, the boys blackmailed her and told her that they would show the video of her to her parents. They said the victim accompanied them to one of her houses after she continually asked them to delete the video.

They lied to the victim that the phone that had the video of her attending her birthday party was inside that house to tempt her. They went berserk and gang-raped her as soon as she entered the house.

The police arrested those accused of rape and also invoked the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) Act against them. Minors in conflict with the law have been sent to an observation home.
