While two militants were killed soon after the exchange of fire occurred last evening, a single militant kept dodging the security forces by continuously shifting his location from one house to another in the area.
Around five houses suffered damages in the encounter. Internet connection remained suspended across the area post commencrment of the operation.
The operation was launched following inputs about presence of suspected militants in the area. The cordon and search operation turned into an encounter after militants opened a volley of bullets against the security personnel. While the encounter was put on hold during the night, a strict vigil was maintained through the hours.
