Ground Report | New Delhi: Third-wave may come; Now many things are coming out about the third wave of Corona. Experts believe that the third wave may come soon. Foreign brokerage firm UBS Securities India has warned in its report that the possibility of a third wave of corona in India has increased significantly amid increasing cases of delta variants and mutations in the virus.

According to PTI, Tanvi Gupta, Chief Economist, UBS Securities India, said that the possibility of a third wave has now strengthened as economic activity has been increasing continuously for the last 7 weeks due to the relaxation of lockdown by many states. According to the report, on the other hand, the speed of vaccination in India has come down to 34 lakh doses per day which were 40 lakh earlier.

Corona cases increasing daily in the country again

This report has come when the Covid case in the country is slowly increasing again. According to the official data of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, where 31,443 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the last one day on July 12, it increased to 38,792 on July 13 and 41,806 on July 14.

Also, in the meantime, many states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh have said that there is not enough supply of vaccines from the central government. This has affected the pace of vaccination. 

According to the central government, the target is to completely vaccinate 100% of the adult population by the end of the year. For this, about 80 lakh doses will have to be applied daily. But at present only about 34 to 35 lakh doses are being administered daily.
