Ground Report | New Delhi: Thief steals actor’s BMW car; Leading Hollywood actor Tom Cruise’s BMW car was stolen while he was filming in Birmingham. The actors are shooting the seventh film in the ‘Mission Impossible’ film series in the city.
The British newspaper The Sun claims that the car used by Cruz was stolen from outside the Grand Hotel and that there were thousands of pounds worth of goods inside the car. West Midlands Police say a BMW X7 was stolen from Church Street on Tuesday and was recovered shortly afterward.
The vehicle was found near Smithwick. CCTV is being investigated and inquiries are ongoing. Many parts of the Grand Central Shopping Center above New Street Station in Birmingham remained closed from Sunday to Wednesday to allow filming to be completed.

Many fans were thrilled to see Tom Cruise. Cruz visited an Indian restaurant and met with British Transport Police officers during his time in the city. The officers shared the photo on social media and wrote: “We assure you that this is not a photoshop photo.”
Birmingham’s Lord Mayor Muhammad Afzal also had the opportunity to meet Tom Cruise and his co-star Haley Etoile. “It’s a wonderful tour and it looks like a beautiful behind-the-scenes scene,” he said. Mohammad Afzal also said that he was “eagerly awaiting the release of the film”.

The report also mentioned that in an alternative way, the miscreants can also jam the driver’s fob with the help of radiofrequency to keep the car unlocked. This will help them gain access to the computer hardware of the car. Although officials have tracked down and recovered the BMW X7, it has been reported that the contents of the car are missing.
Coming to a luxury car, the BMW X7 is a four-door luxury car with a sleek exterior and a 4.4-litre V8 engine under its hood. This engine is capable of churning the power of 523hp. It can also achieve a speed of zero to 96 kmph in 4.7 seconds. Its top speed is 249 kmph.
