Ground Report | New Delhi: Terrorist branded on the back; An undertrial prisoner in Punjab's Barnala district has accused the jail superintendent of assault and writing a terrorist on his back, following which the state government has ordered a probe into the matter.

According to the report of NDTV, undertrial prisoner Karamjit Singh (28) while explaining the pathetic condition of the inmates in the jail said, "People suffering from AIDS and hepatitis are not kept in separate wards and whenever I asked about this misbehavior. He made these allegations before the Mansa district court, where a case under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was being heard.

After Karamjit's disclosure of the matter, purported photographs of his back surfaced on social media in which 'attawadi' (terrorist) can be seen written in Gurmukhi on his back, following which opposition leaders in the state slammed the government.

Jail superintendent Balbir Singh, however, denied these allegations and accused Karamjeet of making up fabricated stories, saying that he had carried out the incidents of crime many times. (Terrorist branded on the back)
