Taliban press conference: 'Women have right to work under Islamic law

Ground Report | New Delhi: Taliban press conference; Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has announced that he will soon provide acceptable political leadership to the Afghan people.

He was addressing a crowded news conference in Kabul today, the first regular news conference since the Afghan Taliban took control of Kabul and the first news conference of Zabihullah Mujahid.

He said in a news conference that Ashraf Ghani was missing and he had no news about him.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that the Taliban will not take any revenge from anyone. All have been pardoned on the orders of the Taliban leader. In response to a question, he said that those who worked for the United States, including translators who worked for the United States, have been pardoned.

A spokesman for the Afghan Taliban said that in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, women would be allowed to work in accordance with Islamic law and that women would be given all the rights that are given to them in religion. "Women are an integral part of society," he said.

"I am legally the acting president of Afghanistan," said Amrullah Saleh, the government's vice president before the Taliban took over Afghanistan. 

"According to a clear provision of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in the event of the President's absence, escape or death, the first Vice President will be the Acting President," he said in a statement. I am in the country and I am legally and legally in charge of this position / chair. I am consulting with all the leaders of the country to strengthen this position.

The Taliban has announced a "general amnesty" for all government employees in Afghanistan, asking them to return to work, while also inviting women to join its government. 

"A general amnesty has been announced for all," he said in a statement on Tuesday. Come back to your normal life with full confidence.

'We don't want any enemies'

On the other hand, according to the Associated Press, Inamullah Samangani, a member of the Taliban's cultural commission, said in a statement: "The Islamic Emirate does not want to see women as victims. They should be in the government structure according to Sharia law.

He said that there should be Islamic leadership and all parties should be involved in it. 

"Our people are Muslims and we have not come to force Islam on them."
