Symptoms of Omicron Variant: The Omicron variant of covid 19 is causing panic across the world. Scientists are busy gathering information about this variant as soon as possible. The most important factor in identifying the presence of this variant is its symptoms. Its symptoms are mild and resemble other variants of Covid. But according to experts, there is also one symptom that is being found in most Omicron infected patients and which is common among them.

According to Chief executive of South Africa-based Discovery Health, Ryan Noach, scratchy throat is an early symptom of Omicron variant.

How this variant is different?

The Omicron variant of Corona has spread to 89 countries, more than 100 cases have been reported in India too. WHO has warned about the danger of this virus.

The symptoms of this variant are not very severe but it spreads very rapidly. Its cases are doubling in 1.5 to three days.

The WHO's latest data suggests the variant - first detected in South Africa in November - can better evade existing vaccines and carries a higher risk of re-infection.

Will Indian Vaccines work on omicron?

Indian Council of Medical Research, said mRNA vaccines against Covid might not be effective against Omicron. Joint Secretary in the Health Ministry Lav Agrawal on Friday, said there is “no evidence to suggest that vaccines are not effective against Omicron”.
