What is the importance of Sustainable design in Architecture?

The Brundtland Commission coined the term "sustainable development," which has since become the most widely recognized definition of the term. It refers to development that satisfies current requirements without jeopardizing future generations' ability to meet their own needs.

What is Sustainable Development?

In this definition, the term "development" refers to two key components of the concept: It is omni-disciplinary; it cannot be limited to a few fields or areas, but it applies to the entire planet, including everyone and everything on it, now and in the future. Economic Sustainability - Economic sustainability refers to a country's ability to maintain a certain level of economic output indefinitely. Since the Great Recession of 2008, this has been the world's most visible challenge, endangering growth owing to a lack of environmental sustainability.

Factors Affecting Architecture and Sustainability
