The Supreme Court has refused to dismiss the FIR lodged against news anchor Amish Devgan in the case of alleged derogatory remarks about Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

In the case of alleged derogatory remarks about Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, the Supreme Court has also asked to transfer the FIR lodged against Amish Devgan in different states to Ajmer in Rajasthan.

Earlier on 25 September, a bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Sanjeev Khanna reserved their verdict on the plea of ​​Amish Devgan in which the news anchor had said that his tongue had slipped and expressed his regret for it. Huh.

According to the news agency PTI, on Monday, a bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Sanjeev Khanna, shaking all the FIRs, said that if Amish Devgan cooperates in the investigation, then no strict action should be taken against them.

In his TV show aired on June 15 this year, Amish Devgan had said allegedly derogatory things about the Sufi saint, after which cases were registered against him in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana.

But the Supreme Court has now transferred all these cases to Ajmer in Rajasthan.

In addition to apologizing in the TV program, Amish Devgan gave his cleaning through Twitter on 16-17 June.

Amish Devgan is accused of hurting religious sentiments by his alleged derogatory remarks.

Ajmer has the Dargah of the 13th century revered Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, where a large number of people arrive every year to live.

Seven FIRs have been registered against Devgan in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana. 

He made alleged derogatory remarks against Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti in the prime time show aired on 15 June. On this basis FIRs have been filed against him.
