31 Students from across India knock SC door against UGC's decision to conduct exams 

31 students, including one corona positive, filed a petition against UGC urging the cancellation of exams during the hype of COVID cases

A petition has been filed through advocate Anubha Srivastava Sahai by 31 Indian students from different universities appealing the Supreme Court to take action against the UGC's announcement about exams during the widespread of COVID 19.

The appeal discusses that college degrees to the final year students should be given on the basis of internal assessment and performance of students. Moreover, degrees should be issued before July 31,  rather than putting the lives of the students to the risk of catching COVID.

Out of 31 students, one is COVID positive and are calling this decision as 'Injustice to the students.'

Talking of UGC. It has asked the universities to conduct the exams in offline mode using pen and paper; online mode or else by opting for the blended mode of exam in which exams will be held in both online and offline mode.

It has also commented, “Performance in examinations contributes to merit, lifelong credibility, wider global acceptability for admissions, scholarships, awards, placements, and better future prospects."

Examination of the intermediatory semester, however, has already been canceled.

Earlier, the youth wing of shiv sena which has been lead by Aditya Thackrey has also moved to SC to appeal the cancellation of final year examinations in all universities. across states
