A senior police officer said that organizers had been told very clearly that the show could not be held as it could cause law and order problems. The police officer said that the organizers have been informed about this orally and in writing.

A statement from the show’s organizers said, “We are law-abiding citizens and will abide by the police notice.” At the same time, Munawar Faruqui posted a post in this regard from his social media account and wrote that today’s Bangalore show has been cancelled.

He said that more than 600 tickets were sold for this show. “Putting me in jail for a joke I never did and canceling a show that has no problem is an injustice,” he complained.

Munawar Faruqui also wrote that in the last two months, 12 shows were canceled due to the threat to space and fans. In his tweet, he further wrote: “I have become an excuse for their hatred, I have become the support of many by laughing, their wish will be fulfilled when it is broken.” Sahih says I have become a star.

Munawar finally wrote: ‘I think this is the end. My name is Munawar Faruqui. That was my time and you were a great viewer. Goodbye! Now I have enough.’ It may be recalled that Munawar Faruqui was arrested in January in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He was arrested on suspicion of making “objectionable jokes” on his show.
