The tax survey comes days after the actor Sonu Sood has been made the brand ambassador of the mentorship program started by the Delhi government for school children.

The appointment was announced after the actor met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In a joint press conference with the Chief Minister, Sood said, "Today, I have been given the opportunity to guide lakhs of students. There is no greater service than guiding students. I am sure together we can and we will do."

During the pandemic, Sood is helping those in need with medicines, oxygen, and other supplies. He also arranged transportation for the migrant workers who were stranded during the COVID lockdown.
