Fear controversial posts may land them in trouble, leave them jobless.

Over 40% of Indians agree that they could be jailed or fired from their jobs for controversial content on their social media networks, a new research of McAfee has revealed.

According to the new report of McAfee- a cyber-security firm- has revealed it in latest survey that 21.4% Indians are fretful that they may lose their jobs if they post any objectionable content on social media. 

This Cyber security firm has divulged furtherthat more than half of users in Indiahave at least one fake social media account, with 41% admitting they have not even though to reactive their detected accounts. 

McAfee further revealed that more than 25.7% of Indiansare confused to post any negative content about their current work. 

On the positive side, the study revealed that 46.9% of Indian social media users prefer to keep personal and work life separate. 

McAfee further revealed involving 1,000 adults in India showed (16-24 age), 31.4% agree that social media content is important to their career prospects, compared to 24.6% of those aged 35-44. 

Further revealed about the use of social media McAfee report said between the age of 16 to 24, 41.1% of Indian are very careful about the content on social media, because they are scareda controversial post may land them in trouble. 

However there are more than 25.3% of Indians who admitted that they don’t have any idea how to change social media privacy settings.
