Singer Chinmayi Sripada says Instagram account suspended after blocked vulgar DMs of men

Singer Chinmayi Sripada claimed that Instagram suspended her account for reporting men who send photos of their penises. She revealed on her Twitter post that she received rude DMs from men.

Singer Chinmayi Sripada wrote on Twitter, “Instagram has basically removed MY account for reporting men who send ME their penises on DMs.”

She added, “Its been going on for a while where I report but MY access was barred. Anyway, that’s that. My backup account is chinmayi.sripada.”

After creating a backup account, Chinmayi said, "In the end, Instagram deleted my original account. Keeping the abusers but removing the ones talking Up."

Singer Chinmayi Sripada has been the target of much abuse on social media since she spoke out in favour of the #MeToo movement and named some prominent figures in the Tamil film industry who exploit women and attempted to engage in sexual misconduct with girls.

Soon, several of her fans showed love and support for the singer, with one user saying, "It's not a win for them. They can delete your account, but they can't remove the strength in your voice to speak. Keep talking. We've got you." another wrote: "How many accounts can you delete? We will always be there with you. I love you for who you are."
