Shakuntala Devi, Raat Akeli Hai and Lootcase: 3 OTT releases for a perfect weekend

Four movies, Lootcase, Shakuntala Devi, Yaara and Raat Akeli Hai will be releasing on 31st july 2020 on digital platforms. While theaters remain close due to COVID 19 the clash what used to take place on big screen now will be seen on OTT platforms.

Four movies, Lootcase, Shakuntala Devi, Yaara and Raat Akeli Hai will be releasing on 31st july 2020 on digital platforms. While theaters remain close due to COVID 19 the clash what used to take place on big screen now will be seen on OTT platforms. Earlier this year some of the big films including Amitabh Bachhan starer Gulabo Sitabo was also released on amazon prime and received a great response. Film starring Shushant Singh Rajput 'Dil Bechara' broke some records as well.

Shakuntala Devi

Vidhya Balan's starring Shakuntala Devi, which a biopic of the Mathematician known as 'Human Computer' with the same name. Directed and written by Anu Menon, film also stars Jissu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra and Amit Sadh. Its world premiere will be streamed on Amazon Prime.

Lootcase

The second movie is Lootcase. It will release on Disney+ Hotstar. Starring Go Goa Gone star Kunal Khemu and Rasika Duggal and directed by Rajesh Krishnan.

The story of Nandan Kumar, a middle class family Man. Who finds a suitcase full of cash and soon finds himself in a reckless situation where he is been chased by gangsters, police and ministers.

Raat Akeli Hai

The third film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. This is not the first time they are starring together. They were seen in the Netflix show Sacred Games season 1 as well.

Raat Akeli Hai is a thriller movie on Netflix. In which Nawaz plays a police officer who is on a mission to investigate a murder of extremely powerful politician.

Yaara

The fourth Movie is Yaara, starring Vidyut Jammwal, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma, Shruti Hassan, Kenny Basumatary and Sanjay Mishra. Set up belonging to the backdrop of North India Yaara will be featuring the purity of friendship.

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, film will release on Zee5.

Now, the question is, will these movie's performance will be affected by the clash? The audience's preference will probably be more inclined towards the most popular platforms. The timings are working as the test to analyse the quality of movies. Which one are you going to watch?
