Schlong COVID: Why Tucker suggests to rename Monkey Pox?

Fox News host Tucker Carlson announced the results of his Twitter poll to change Monkeypox's name on Thursday, after deriding calls for the change.

Scientists and the World Health Organization said in June they want to change the name monkeypox over concerns of racism. A new name for the virus has not yet been announced, so Carlson took it upon himself to add suggestions from the audience of it via social media.

“While they are going to change the name, we should have some role in naming it. It shouldn't be left to Tony Fauci and Deborah Birx, so what should we call it? Tucker asked the audience about him. “Democracypox? Schlong COVID, our favorite? Tweet us your suggestions. Tomorrow we will read the best ones”.

Twitter users were quick to throw out their suggestions, such as “politipox” and “sheep-pox.” Other ideas brought up were “fart box fever” and “they/them pox.” One name that came up more than others was “donkeypox.”

“So, we had a vote,” he continued. “There was no ballot harvesting. You can trust our counting. And the new name for monkeypox is now officially – and we’re declaring it – schlong covid. That won our audience election result with about 40% of the vote. So, let Rochelle Walensky at the CDC know. Her number is 1-800-232-4636. Wait for the prompt on monkeypox and make your voice heard because it’s still a democracy.”

Another user wrote "I wonder if Tucker Carlson knows side effects of covid include hair loss, low sex drive, and erectile dysfunction. Considering how many viewers Fox convinced not to get vaccinated, they'll soon be running ads like "Are you or any of your loved ones suffering from schlong covid?"
