ED takes Nawab Malik for questioning, Shiv Sena warns BJP

Ground Report | New Delhi: Sameer Wankhede part of Aryan Khan; Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has once again made serious allegations against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede by holding a press conference on Sunday.

National Narcotics Bureau's Mumbai zone director Sameer Wankhede was investigating several important cases, including the Aryan Khan drug case, till last week.

Nawab Malik has said in the latest allegations against Wankhede that Sameer Wankhede is part of a bigger conspiracy to kidnap Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan. He has said that Wankhede and BJP leader Mohit Kamboj tried to kidnap Aryan Khan and demanded ransom.

Talking to news agency ANI, Malik said, "Aryan Khan did not buy tickets for the cruise party. It is a case of kidnapping and ransom." He also said that a conspiracy was hatched by some people to bring people like Aryan Khan on a cruise ship and implicate them in the drugs case.

He says, “Mohit Kamboj and Sameer Wankhede met after Oshiwara graveyard on the night of 7 October. After this, Wankhede panicked and complained to the police that they were being chased. "They were lucky that the nearby CCTV was not working and that's why we didn't get the video."

Aryan Khan was arrested last month after a raid on a cruise ship led by Wankhede from where drugs were allegedly seized. Malik has repeatedly termed the cruise drugs bust case as "fake" and leveled several allegations against Wankhede.

Accusing Wankhede of being involved in the conspiracy, he claimed that the Indian was a member of Wankhede's "private army". Malik also appealed to Shah Rukh Khan to come forward and support his fight against injustice.

He accused Wankhede of creating fear among drug users while protecting smugglers and smugglers. They claimed that the trap of kidnapping Aryan Khan was laid through the Indian's brother-in-law Rishabh Sachdeva.

“Rs 25 crore was demanded, and the deal was settled for Rs 18 crore… Rs 50 lakh was given. The deal went bad because KP Gosavi (NCB witness in the cruise drugs case) selfie with Aryan, After the arrest, it went viral," he claimed. The minister further said that an attempt has been made to intimidate Shah Rukh Khan that since he "gave an amount of Rs 50 lakh", he too became an accused.

"I appeal to them not to be afraid. If your child is kidnapped and ransom is demanded and the parents paid, he is the victim, not the accused," Malik said. Aryan Khan was taken to the cruise party by Prateek Gabba and Aamir Furniturewala, who claimed that Sachdeva, Gabba and Furniturewala were dumped by NCB. "Kashif Khan, the organizer of the cruise party, had tried hard to invite the state minister Aslam Shaikh and the children of our top ministers to the party," he claimed.

"Except for Aryan Khan and Sameer Khan (Malik's son-in-law) cases, all 26 cases (being probed by NCB) should be given to SIT for investigation. If there is an attempt to intimidate me by putting my son - For the mother-in-law's case to be re-examined, let me make it clear that I am not scared," the minister said.

Malik's son-in-law was arrested by the NCB in January this year in an alleged drugs case and was granted bail in September. Earlier on Saturday, Mohit Bhartiya had alleged that one Sunil Patil from Dhule, "who is closely associated with NCP leaders including former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh", is the mastermind of the cruise drug bust episode in which Aryan Khan accused.
