Police have registered a case against 21 people in connection with the incident.

It is seen in these pictures and videos that the door of his house has been burnt, windows have been broken and a fire has started. Putting these pictures, Salman Khurshid wrote, "I hoped that I would open these doors for my friends who left these marks. Am I still wrong that this is not Hinduism?

"So now there is such a debate. Words like embarrassment have become meaningless. Besides, I still hope that we can one day think together and agree to disagree. Controversy has been going on for the last few days over the talk about Hindutva in Salman Khurshid's new book 'Sunrise Over Ayodhya'.

This book of his is on the Ayodhya dispute and the decision of the Supreme Court. The controversy is over a line related to Hindutva on one page of the book. Some leaders associated with the BJP and VHP have alleged that the latest version of Hindutva in the book has been compared with extremist groups ISIS and Boko Haram.

Criticizing the incident, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that the rising level of intolerance in politics should be condemned by those in power. He tweeted, "This is shameful. Salman Khurshid is such a politician who has raised India's name in international forums and has always expressed the liberal, centrist, inclusive vision of the country."

The controversy is about a line related to Hindutva on a page of the book. Some leaders associated with the BJP and VHP have alleged that the latest edition of Hindutva in the book has been compared with jihadi factions ISIS and Boko Haram. At the same time, Salman Khurshid claims that he did not connect 'Hinduism' with 'Hinduism' but with 'Hinduism' in the book. A lot has been written about Hinduism in the book. Salman Khurshid's book is on the Ayodhya dispute and the latest Supreme Court verdict. Describing this decision as a good decision, he has written how it reached this point. Expressing his intention to write the book, he said in an interview to news agency ANI, "People used to think that it would take 100 years for the decision to come. Then people felt that this decision had come very quickly. It has come." It was a long decision."

"I read 1500 pages and then read again and tried to understand. Till then people were giving their opinion without reading this verdict. Some were saying - I don't like that you didn't allow the mosque to be built, some said that I am good, did not think that you have got the temple built."

"But nobody read, didn't understand what the Supreme Court did? Why did it? How did it? So it is my responsibility to interpret this decision. I belong to this court. Tell people that there is error in the judgment. . . . . . . . . or not. I agree that it is a good decision. There is a way to correct the situation in the country today. And try to ensure that it doesn't happen again."

That 'controversial part' of the book is part of the sixth chapter "The Saffron Sky", in which a line is written in English. "Sanatan Dharma and classical Hinduism known to saints and sages were being pushed aside by a stronger version of Hindutva, a political version similar to the jihadi Islam of groups like ISIS and Boko Haram of recent years."
