Russia-Ukraine war: How Many Ukrainian soldiers die?

Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, about 13,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died so far, a Ukrainian official has confirmed this.

Mikhailo Podolyak, the adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, says that 10,000 to 13,000 soldiers have lost their lives in the war so far.

It rarely happens when Ukraine gives information about its killed soldiers. This statement of Podolyak has not been confirmed by any other military officer. He said that 100 to 200 soldiers were dying every day in the month of June.

Last month, a top US military official, Mark Miley, said that nearly 100,000 Ukrainian and 100,000 Russian soldiers had either been wounded or killed since the start of the war.

Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission, claimed in a video address on Wednesday that 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed in the war. However, later the spokesperson of the EU Commission clarified that these figures were spoken by mistake. In fact, including the injured and killed, so many soldiers have been affected.

Podolyak said on Ukrainian TV channel 24 that Ukraine "is talking openly about the number of casualties. We have collected information through formal methods at several levels and according to this between 10 and 13,000 soldiers have been killed."

Mikhail Podolyak told that after the attack on Ukraine on February 24, about one lakh soldiers of Russia have also died. At the same time, one to one and a half lakh soldiers are either injured or missing or unable to return to the front.
